Symptoms
When you have the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client installed on a Surface Pro 3, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
Cisco Vpn Connection Issues
If you try to connect to a wireless network by using the Cisco Network Access Manager (NAM), you cannot connect to the wireless network.
You can connect to an open (that is, unsecured) wireless network by using the Cisco Network Access Manager (NAM). However, you cannot use the Cisco NAM to connect to a wireless network that requires a password or other authentication.
If you use the Windows 8.1 Networks interface to connect to the wireless network, you can connect to the wireless network.
Cisco Vpn Cannot Connect To Server
You can limit how long the ASA keeps an AnyConnect VPN connection available to the user even with no activity. If a VPN session goes idle, you can terminate the connection or re-negotiate the connection. Keepalive—The ASA sends keepalive messages at regular intervals. If you’re still having trouble installing, running or using the Cisco VPN client with Windows 10, our best advice is to backtrack. Most commonly, users will neglect to install the SonicWall client. Like any network connection, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) can run into connection troubles that need to be diagnosed and resolved. While many of these troubles can often originate from your service provider, several common VPN connection errors can be fixed or mitigated on your end to maximize your connection. The Cisco VPN client would connect successfully. However, I could not access any resources on the LAN behind the firewall. The termination point was an older PIX 515 running IOS 8.0. I was using the latest version of the Cisco VPN Client software, which was running on Windows 8.1. When a user cannot connect the AnyConnect VPN Client to the ASA, the issue might be caused by an incompatibility between the AnyConnect client version and the ASA software image version. In this case, the user receives this error message: The installer was not able to start the Cisco VPN client, clientless access is not available.
